Chandrababu unhappy over plans to install his statues

Guntur, Oct 16: Telugu Desam Party (TDP ) workers have decided to install statues of the party supremo and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. According to reports, fans and TDP workers placed orders for 25 to 30 statues of the CM with a popular sculptor Rajkumar Vudayar who stays at Kothapeta in East Godavari district. Sources said that Chandrababu expressed his displeasure over the move to install his statues and decided to abstain from installation and inauguration programmes of his statues. The statues will be installed at venue of capital foundation-stone laying ceremony. The plans drew sharp criticism from several quarters as usually statues are not installed while they are alive. However, late president Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, BSP leaders Kanshiram and Mayawati are an exception. Even the sculptor wondered about the plans to install the statues of Chandrababu.
