Rajamouli's father faces copyright violation case over ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ story

Hyderabad, Oct 14: A TV producer named Mahim Joshi took SS Rajamouli's father writer Vijayendra Prasad to the court in an alleged copyright violation case against his ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ story. Mahim Joshi is claiming that the story ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is similar to his story, which was registered long ago. Joshi is now demanding Rs 50 crore in the copyright infringement suit that he filed against the film makers. Joshi, after seeing the movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, recognized that its story resembles his own story and screenplay. that was when he filed the complaint. According to sources, the court is said to have compared the screenplay of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ with that of Joshi's script and confirmed that there indeed were similarities between them. Following which, the court asked the producers Rockline Venkatesh, actor Salman Khan, director Kabir Khan and writer Vijayendra Prasad to submit their replies by October 21.
