NGOs express doubts on local status deadline

Vijayawada, Oct 7: In a bid to whittle away the significance of the Andhra Pradesh government's efforts to shift its employees to Vijayawada from Hyderabad, the leader of AP NGOs Association have cast their doubts on the legality of the local status deadline of June 2, 2017. Speaking to media in Hyderabad, APNGOs president Ashok Babu has said the AP government's deadline will not stand legal scrutiny. AP government is said to have taken legal opinions on the local status issue and is preparing to send a proposal to the central government urging it to bring in an amendment in the Presidential Order for the June 2, 2017 nativity deadline. On the issue of shifting, Ashok Babu claimed that every government employee was willing to shift to AP. "There is no second thought on this issue," he said.
