Finally, its Goodbye Google, hello Alphabet

Hyderabad, Oct 3: After months of behind the scenes activities, Google is officially 'Alphabet' now. Just hours ago, Google Inc. is said to have completed the process to reorganise itself as Alphabet. Though, the company's stock will start trading as Alphabet on the Nasdaq, it will be appearing under the same tickers as earlier, i.e. "GOOG" and "GOOGL" starting Monday. Every share of Google is to be automatically converted as Alphabet stock. In August, the California-based Google had revealed its intentions of creating a new company to oversee its Internet business and its other ventures including researching ways to prolong human life. Google's co-founder and CEO Larry Page stated the company will start reporting its financial results by segments.
