TDP leaders urge Chandrababu to foray into Odisha

Srikakulam, Oct 3: Buoyed with the success of the party in the local body elections in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders in Srikakulam are urging party national chairman N Chandrababu Naidu to foray into the neighbouring state of Odisha. Their reasoning is that if TDP can tap the 30 lakh Telugu-speaking people living in Chatrapur, Berhampur, Parlakhemundi, Rayagada, Nabarangpur and Jeypore in Odisha, the party can emerge as a strong national party. The party leaders in Srikakulam like Gorle Haribabu Naidu, PV Ramana and Boina Govinda Rajulu said the party will have a national outlook if it spreads to states like Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar.
