AP releases Rs 10 cr to Amaravati Metro Rail Corporation

Hyderabad, Sept 30: Andhra Pradesh government has released Rs 10 crore to Amaravati Metro Rail Corporation (AMRC) to initiate works on the Vijayawada metro project. The state government formed AMRC on the lines of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The token amount credited into account of DMRC in New Delhi AMRC has been mandated to manage the proposed metro rail network in the capital region. The token amount of Rs 10 crore is to help the project consultant DMRC to begin the necessary steps on the project.
