Date set for Byreddy's padayatra for farmers

Kurnool, Sept 30: The Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy today announced his decision to take up a three-day ‘Rythu Bathuku Thervuvu Padayatra’ from October 14. Rajasekhara Reddy said his idea is to turn the attention of the people on the forcible takeover of fertile lands from farmers for the setting up of industries, sources said. Speaking to media here, Rajasekhara Reddy the High Court in Hyderabad treated his writ petition on this issue as a public interest litigation. The HC had advised Rajasekhara Reddy to apply to the Superintendent of Police for permission for the padayatra at least 15 days in advance. The HC also directed the AP government to grant permission for the padayatra.
