Kukatpally Ganesh laddu beats Balapur's, fetches Rs 15 lakh

Hyderabad, Sep 27: A laddu offered to a lord Ganesh idol at Addagutta near Kukatpally in the city has fetched Rs 15 lakh in the auction held today. The laddu fetched a record price of Rs 15 lakh, Rs 4.68 lakh higher than Balapur laddu which was bought for Rs 10.32 lakh. Chanti Reddy, a resident of Nellore, bought the laddu. According to reports, Kukatpally laddu fetched highest price in Telangana. Auction winners would distribute the laddu to their friends and well-wishers and the money generated from the auction will be used for various development works.
