YSRCP ready for show down with Guntur police

Guntur, Sept 24: There is going to be a mother of all battles between YSR Comgress Party and the police in Guntur as the later, at the behest of TDP government, had refused to give permission to YS Jaganmohan Reddy to go on an indefinite hunger strike from September 26 at the Wolf Hall Grounds in the town. On Thursday, the YSRC leaders met at their party office to chalk out their plan of action. Jagan had already announced that he was going ahead with his indefinite fast. He is going to sit on a hunger strike in support of special category status for AP. A senior YSRC leader said that his party will not be intimidated by these coercive tactics. Earlier, YSRCP's general secretary V. Vijaya Sai Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana and Marri Rajasekhar met Guntur police range inspector-general N. Sanjay. They appealed to him to give them the no-objection certificate so that they can conduct the programme as per schedule. Early this morning, the police had served a second notice on the YSRC leaders clarifying the grounds on which the permission cannot be given.
