Raids at Gali Janardhan Reddy's residence

Bellary, Sept 23: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) carried out raids on the residence of mining baron and former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy in Bellary. It may be noted that Gali Janardhan Reddy is the key accused in the illegal mining case of Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC). According to reports, the officials seized some important documents. A five-member team headed by Kausalya Kumar is carrying the raids. Sources said that officials simultaneously carried raids on Janardhan Reddy's residence and four other locations in the city. It is said that officials are also carrying raids at other places in the state. The exact reason for the raids is yet to be known.
