One more person succumbs to head injuries in Kurnool clashes

Hyderabad, Sept 21: One more person is reported to have succumbed to severe head injuries in the clashes in the faction-ridden Munimadugu village of Peapully mandal in Kurnool District today, latest reports said. Reports said, a Congress activist named Kantagiri Swamy of Munimadugu village, who fled from the scene, is said to have succumbed to head injuries after he returned home this afternoon. Earlier, TDP supporter Nagur Basha, 55, died after being hit by a boulder during the faction war. Among six others who were injured during the clash three were Nagur Basha’s brothers Shamsher Vali, 35, Nadipi Shamsher Vali, 40, and Pedda Shamsher Vali, 45. They were rushed to Kurnool general hospital after sustaining head injuries. Three others, who were injured in the clashes, were taken to the Government hospital at Dhone, reports said.
