Police stop MLA Gouthu Syam Sunder from attending Collectors' meet

Vijayawada, Sept 19: Vijayawada police today refused to allow Telugu Desam Party MLA Gouthu Syam Sunder from attending the Collectors' conference convened by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Even after the TDP legislator showed his ID card, the police refused to let him into the conference venue. TDP activists and the MLAs followers expressed their ire over the police. As a result the situation turned tense. It was only after labour Minister K Achennaidu intervened, did the police allow the MLA inside.
