Consumers to get power shock in AP
Hyderabad, Sept 19: Andhra Pradesh government is once again getting ready to give a 'power shock' to domestic, commercial and industrial electricity consumers in the state, reports said.
In order to bailout AP Genco and various Discoms to the tune of Rs 7,200 crores, AP Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC) is in the process of eliciting views from people on the issue of imposing a fresh surcharge and increasing the power tariff.
Once ERC completes the process and submits its report, then consumers are likely to get a 'power shock'.
