Weed out corruption in Revenue, Municipal depts: Chandrababu

Vijayawada, Sep 18: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that Revenue and Municipal departments were steeped in corruption. He was speaking at District Collectors and Principal Secretaries conference in the city. Chandrababu directed the officials to take necessary measures to weed out corruption in Municipal and Revenue departments. He accepted that sand mafia gained strength at some places due to loop holes in sand policy. He commended Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari Collectors for expediting land acquisition. He asked the officials to work in novel ways. He showered praises on Irrigation Minister for putting stay at Pattiseema project site to expedite works. Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao, Ministers, Collectors and others were present.
