Police illegally detained 3 Maoists: Vara Vara Rao
Warangal, Sep 18: Virasam founder and revolutionary writer Vara Vara Rao has alleged that police illegally detained three Maoists and a villager in Warangal district. In a press release here today, Vara Vara Rao demanded the police to produce the victims in court immediately. According to reports, police detained three suspected Maoists Vimal, Kistanna, Mahesh and a villager Shekhar at Chityal village in the district. Civil rights organisations warned that police would be held responsible if any harm was caused to the victims. Tension prevailed in the district as police intensified combing against the backdrop of recent encounter.
