Telugu doctor kidnapped in Libya

Hyderabad, Sep 17: Two Indians, including a doctor from Andhra Pradesh, were kidnapped by suspected militants in Sirte in Libya, according to Ministry of External Affairs and local authorities. Ramamurthy Kosanam is a resident of AP and Pravash Ranjan Samal hails from Orissa. Ramamurthy is native of Kappaladoddi village of Gudur mandal in Krishna district. He is working as doctor of medicine in a hospital in Libya for the past 11 years. His wife and three children are residing in Eluru. The family members were tense as Ramamurthy's phone was 'switched off' for the past one week. Pravash works as Bio-Medical engineer at the hospital. The duo were kidnapped while they were working in the hospital. AP Director-General of Police JV Ramudu said that police was trying to figure about personal details of Kosanam Ramamurthy.
