'36 highly qualified youth joined Maoist movement in the last 2 months'

Warangal, Sep 17: Virasam founder and revolutionary writer Vara Vara Rao has said that 36 highly qualified educated men and women from Telangana joined Maoist movement in the last two months. Vara Vara Rao along with the kin of Maoists killed in the encounter on Tuesday, staged a protest at MGM hospital here yesterday. It may be noted that Shruthi, a M Tech graduate and Vidyasagar Reddy were killed in the encounter. Doctors performed postmortem on the bodies of two Maoists at the hospital. Vara Vara Rao accused the government of killing the two Maoists in cold blood. He charged that police personnel raped Shruthi before killing her and damaged her body parts with acid to destroy the evidence. He said that youth were attracting towards Maoism due to rampant unemployment. Congress and TDP accused that police killed the two Maoists in fake encounter and demanded judicial probe into the incident. DGP Anurag Sharma refuted the allegations that the woman Maoist killed in the encounter was sexually assaulted by cops. Educated youth are not joining Maoist movement and we are taking all necessary measures to suppress it, he added.
