Golden moment in AP history, Chandrababu links Godavari with Krishna

Ibrahimpatnam (Vijayawada), Sep 16: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today heralded golden moment in AP history by formally linking Godavari with Krishna at Ibrahimpatnam near Vijayawada in Krishna district. Chandrababu Naidu performed 'Varuna Yagam' and offered special prayers at the confluence points of the two rivers at Ibrahimpatnam. The CM earlier unveiled pylon highlighting the significance of interlinking the two rivers. Krishna and Godavari mathas statues were installed on both the sides of the pylon. Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Labour Minister K Atchennaidu, BC Welfare Minister Kollu Ravindra, Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu, MPs K Haribabu, Kesineni Nani, Maganti Babu, Konakalla Narayana, MLAs, MLCs, officials and a large number of people were present. Earlier, the CM visited Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri and performed special prayers.
