Pattiseema is first step towards Ganga-Cauvery link: Venkaiah

Delhi, Sep16: Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has said that interlinking Krishna and Godavari rivers through Pattiseema project is a welcome step in river linking in the country. Speaking to the media on the sidelines of a conference on housing in Delhi today, Venkaiah Naidu said that interlinking Godavari and Krishna through Pattiseema is the first step towards linking Ganga and Cauvery rivers. He said that river linking was long cherished dream of people in the country. Congress was stalling development of the country on the pretext of opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies, he added. He alleged that Congress was even opposing the bills introduced during the UPA regime. He said that Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh stood first and second respectively in ease of doing business and asked other states to follow the suit.
