Kishan Reddy, others arrested

Hyderabad, Sep 15: The police today arrested BJP state president G Kishan Reddy and the party leaders after they tried to take out a rally demanding the State Government to celebrate Telangana State Liberation Day officially on September 17. The BJP leaders planned to take up a rally from Indira Park to Secretariat. The police tightened security at the Secretariat, arrested Kishan Reddy and others and foiled the rally. The BJP leaders said that Karnataka and Maharashtra governments were celebrating the event officially and demanded similar celebrations in Telangana state too. Meanwhile, BJP MLA K Lakshman has criticised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for ignoring the sacrifices of Telangana martyrs. He said that people will teach a lesson to KCR for implementing anti-people politics. He criticised government for its attempts to include Nizam's history in school textbooks.
