Three struck dead, 1 injured by lightning

Nizamabad, Sep 15: Three persons were killed and another was injured when lightning struck them at Dupally village of Renjal mandal in Nizamabad district today. According to reports, three farm labourers were killed after being struck by lightning. The incident took place while they were engaged in farm work. Another woman injured in the incident was shifted to a hospital and her condition was stated to be critical. Many areas in the district experienced strong gales and heavy rain today. There is a spurt in the lightning incidents in the two Telugu states. It may be noted that 20 persons were killed due to lightning in AP on a single day.
