Krishna tribunal case deferred to Sep 30
Delhi, Sep 15: The Supreme Court today adjourned hearing on the petitions challenging the verdict of Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal to September 30
It may be noted that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments have filed seperate petitions in Supreme Court challenging the award of the tribunal.
The Supreme Court earlier directed Centre to fill vacancies in the tribunal. The Centre today replied that vacant member post in the tribunal would be filled within a week. The Centre's advocate said that Karnataka judge Rammohan Reddy would be appointed to the post.
AP urged the court to take project-wise water allocation into consideration.
