Vizag Metro Rail to be completed by 2018: Chandrababu

Vijayawada, Sept 12: AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced the state is going to entrust the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Speaking to media at his camp office in Vijayawada, Chandrababu said, "We have asked the DMRC to finish the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail by December 2018." He then said that the government was planning to extending Corridor 1 of Visakhapatnam Metro Rail up to Gajuwaka. "Earlier, it was only till NAD Kothroad Junction," he said. Chandrababu said, "Even the Vijayawada Metro Rail is going to be entrusted to DMRC."
