Andhra Bank to shift head office to Amaravathi

Vijayawada, Sep 09: The Andhra Bank management has initiated measures to shift the bank's head office to capital city Amaravati. At present the bank's headquarters located in Hyderabad caters to the needs of banking operations of branches spread across the country. Eminent freedom fighter Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya founded the Andhra Bank in 1923. Andhra Bank general manager Gupta met AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Vijayawada yesterday and they reportedly discussed about the plans to shift the headquarters to Amaravati. According to reports, Gupta agreed to shift the headquarters to Amaravati. Chandrababu asked Gupta to shift the bank's head office to make Amaravati a financial hub.
