Water level rising at Srisailam reservoir

Hyderabad, Sept 8: Following heavy inflows coming into Tungabhadra river due to heavy rain upstream in the catchment areas of Anantapur district, the water level at the Srisailam Reservoir is fast rising, according to latest reports today. So far 95,840 cusecs of water had flowed into the near-dry Srisailam Reservoir, reports said. It may be recalled that for the past several hours, heavy rain lashed Anantapur district bringing back life to the parched lands.
