First Kaloji Puraskar for writer Ammangi Venugopal

Hyderabad, Sept 8: Telangana government today announced that popular writer Ammangi Venugopal will be receiving the first Kaloji Puraskar in connection with the Kaloji Jayanti celebrations to be held on September 9. The government had decided to give the puraskar to those who have done service to Telugu language and literature. It may be recalled that the state government had earlier declared that Spetember 9 will be observed as Telangana Language Day.
