AP increases honorarium to local body office-bearers

Hyderabad, Sept 7: At a recent cabinet meeting, the Andhra Pradesh government is believed to have increased the honorarium being paid to the office-bearers of the various local bodies in the state. The details of the honorarium have been released now and the details are as follows: Zilla Parishad Chairman (from Rs 7,500 to Rs 40,000 pm), ZPTCs (from Rs 2,250 to Rs 6,000 pm), MPPs (from Rs 1,500 to Rs 6,000 pm), MPTCs (from Rs 750 to Rs 3,000 pm) and for Sarpanches (from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000 pm). The state government had released orders in this connection.
