HC stays Vijayawada court's notice in phone tapping case

Hyderabad, Sept 7: The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad today stayed the notice issued to Telangana Home Secretary Rajeev Trivedi by the Vijayawada court in the phone tapping case. While passing the stay orders, the high court said this case comes under its jurisdiction and questioned the Vijayawada court as to how it can issues to anybody. The court also rejected the plea of the Andhra Pradesh Advocate General that orders should be issued for providing safety and security to the call data documents. Last month, AP CID officials had served the Vijayawada court's notices to Rajeev Trivedi for the safekeeping of the call data documents. He in turn filed an appeal in the HC against the Vijayawada court's orders.
