Vizag railway zone needs Constitution amendment: Ashok

Srikakulam, Sep 06: Union Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju has said that Constitutional amendment is necessary to establish Visakhapatnam railway zone. He was speaking at District Electric Committee in Srikakulam today. He said that ambiguity in provisions of AP State Reorganisation Act-2014 created many problems for the state. He said plans were being drafted for construction of modern airports in the country Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that government would soon acquire land for new airports. It may be noted that Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and Visakhapatnam MP K Haribabu said that new railway zone would be established in the city soon.
