No special status for AP: Purandeswari

Kurnool, Sep 06: Former Union Minister and BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari has said that Centre would not accord special status for Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media here, Purandeswari said that Centre would sanction a special package to the state. Purandeswari reiterated that she would try her best to secure funds from the Centre if the state government submits proposals. She appealed to the women to utilise the insurance and other welfare schemes launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She exuded confidence that Centre would take all necessary steps to provide incentives for setting up industries in AP. It may be noted several persons committed suicide demanding special status to the state.
