AP to speed up shifting of depts to Amaravati

Hyderabad, Sept 5: The Andhra Pradesh cabinet today gave its approval to the proposal to speed up the process of shifting of various government departments to Amaravati, according to reports. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu chaired the cabinet meeting here today. The cabinet also decided to supply 7 hours of power to farmers for agriculture activities. With regards to the construction of Machilipatnam port, the cabinet felt that there would be a need to collect 14,000 acres of land for the port.
