Governor urged to reject redesign of Pranahita project

Hyderabad, Sept 5: An all party delegation from Ranga Reddy district today met Governor ESL Narashimhan and urged him to reject the Telangana government's proposal to redesign the Pranahita-Chevella lift irrigation project. The delegation told the Governor that if the project was redesigned, then the people of the district would be deprived of water for drinking and irrigation purposes. Among those who submitted a letter to the Governor included former Congress minister Sabita Indra Reddy, TDP leader Prakash Goud, MLA Vivek, Rammohan Reddy and leaders of YSRCP, CPI and BJP.
