Hindi film composer Aadesh Shrivastava dies of cancer
Mumbai, Sept 5: Popular Hindi film music composer Aadesh Shrivastava (51), who was suffering with cancer, is reported to have passed away during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
Doctors at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri had treated Aadesh Shrivastava for more than 40 days for cancer.
Releasing Aadesh’s death bulliten, Dr Ram Narain of the hospital said, “Mr Aadesh Shrivastava, 51-years-old, expired at 12.30 am on 5th September 2015 in Kokilaben Hospital due to cancer.”
On Friday evening, Aadesh’s brother-in-law and composer Lalit Pandit is reported to have said that Aadesh was undergoing chemotherapy. He, however, is not responding to the treatment.
"Therefore, the doctors stopped giving him chemotherapy. They have an alternate theory. The doctors are trying to do their best and Aadesh is fighting it bravely,” Lalit said.
Aadesh Shrivastava had scored music for films like “Baabul”, “Chalte Chalte”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham”, “Baghban” and “Rajneeti”.
