AP Assembly passes unanimous resolution for special status

Hyderabad, Sep 01: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly today unanimously passed a resolution seeking special status to AP and implementation of all the resolutions of AP State Reorganisation Act, 2014. The resolution was moved by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He urged the Centre to fulfil all the assurances given to the State. Heated arguments were exchanged between the TDP and YSRCP over the issue. Leader of Opposition Jagan demanded the CM to withdraw TDP Ministers from Union government to exert pressure on the Prime Minister over the issue. Tension prevailed for a while as TDP and YSRCP leaders rushed into the Speaker podium and shoved each other. TDP leaders termed Jaganmohan Reddy as a factionist and asked him to behave responsibly in the house.
