Dokka joins TDP

Vijayawada, Aug 30: Former Minister Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad today joined Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the presence of the party supremo and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu Naidu offered the party 'kanduva' to Dokka and welcomed him into the party. According to reports, Narasaraopet MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao played a key role in bringing Dokka to TDP's fold. It is said that Rayapati is Dokka's political mentor and Dokka takes decisions as per the suggestions of the MP. Recently rumours erupted that Dokka would join YSRCP. Rayapati yesterday met CM and took appointment today and paved way for Dokka's entry into TDP. Accordingly, Dokka joined TDP at the residence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu.
