Baahubali in race for India's Oscar entry
Hyderabad, Aug 30: The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has announced that Baahubali movie will be the official entry from Telugu film industry for India's Oscar shortlist. The film has netted Rs 600 crore so far and it is the third highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema. If everything goes as per plan, Baahubali will be the India's Oscar entry in the category 'The Best Foreign Language Film'. Amol Palekar is the chairman of India's Oscar entry jury. An official statement on India's Oscar entry will be made on September 25. K Viswanath and Kamal Haasan's 'Swati Muthyam' was nominated to Oscar awards 29 years ago.
