Set up 25 districts in AP: Hari Babu

Rajahmundry (East Godavari), Aug 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) AP chief and Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha member Kambhampati Hari Babu has demanded the State government to immediately set up 25 districts in the state on the basis of the present Lok Sabha constituencies. Hari Babu said that BJP would discuss skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and sand policy in the upcoming Assembly session. He addressed a press conference after attending the party MLAs and MLCs meeting here today. He asked the government to expedite the works of Polavaram project on the lines of Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme. Hari Babu said that Centre was doing background work to accord special status to the state. AP received more Central funds when compared to all others states, he added. He informed that a BJP delegation would inspect Polavaram project on September 12, Thotapalli project on September 13 and irrigation projects in Rayalaseema on September 14 and 15.
