Syringe attacks: 40 teams, 14 check-posts to nab the accused

Eluru (West Godavari), Aug 28: The West Godavari police have constituted 40 special teams and set up 14 check-posts to nab a psychopath who has been attacking women with syringes. There were rumours that the accused injected his HIV-infected blood. As per the directives of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the police intensified vigil. The attacker did not leave any trace beyond the disposable syringes. The disposable needles were sent for State Forensic laboratory. West Godavari SP announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information leading to the identity of the culprit. So far the accused reportedly attacked 12 women with syringes.
