Man commits suicide for special status to AP

Hyderabad, August 27: A 55-year-old man, identified as Ramisetti Lakshmiah, is reported to have hanged himself to death at his residence in Keshavulu Nagar within Vedayapalem limits of Nellore early this morning demanding special status to Andhra Pradesh. Early reports said he is said to have left behind a suicide note with the following message: "Jai Andhra . . . Jai Jai Andhra. The state needs a special status. The state should develop. The problem of unemployment should be solved. This is my dying decleration." Lakshmiah leaves behind a son and a daughter. Local leaders including member of parliament Mekpati Rammohan Reddy visited Lakshmiah's house and police have registered a case.
