Telangana Jagruthi opens branch in Mumbai
Mumbai, Aug 25: The Telangana Jagruthi, an organisation dedicated to promotion of Telangana history, art, culture and traditions etc, has opened a branch in Mumbai recently.
Bathukamma and Bonalu festivities, folk songs and other cultural activities were organised on this occasion.
Telangana Jagruthi founder president and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha opened the branch. She said that friendship between Telangana and Maharashtra dated back to several centuries. She said that many Marathi words were being used in language spoken by Telangana people.
She assured that Bathukamma festivities would be conducted on a grand note in Mumbai.
South Mumbai MP Arvind Sawanth, Worli MLA Sunil Shinde, Bandra MLA Trupthi Sawanth, Telangana government advisor Deshapathi Srinivas and others participated in the programme.
