Special status to AP soon: Sujana

Delhi, Aug 25: Union Minister Sujana Chowdary exuded confidence that Centre would accord special status to AP soon. Speaking to the media here, Sujana reminded that the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh promised to accord special status to AP while speaking in a debate on AP Reorganisation Bill in Parliament. He said that BJP would implement the promise given by the then Prime Minister. Special status to the state is being delayed due to some technicalities. "We are taking all necessary measures to secure more funds and other benefits than those assured under special status," he added.
