10,000 villages adopted in AP: Chandrababu

Vijayawada, Aug 24: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that several multi national companies, legislators, officials and celebrities adopted 10,000 villages in the state. He was speaking at a meeting in Vijayawada today. He said Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust adopted 264 villages under Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency in Krishna district. Tata Trusts chairman and industrialist Ratan Tata today inked pact with government to develop the villages. The trusts will take measures to improve health, nutrition and livelihood of 10 lakh people living in these villages. Chandrababu announced that Ratan Tata would tour the state to encourage startups.
