AP Governor likely to be replaced
Hyderabad, Aug 24: Speculation is rife about the continuance of ESL Narasimhan as Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Though the Governor's term ends in 2017, the Centre appears to have decided to replace him.
The absence of AP and TS CMs at the customary At-Home on Independence Day has added strength to the rumours. Besides this, Sangh Parivar and other outfits are pressuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allocate plum posts to their members.
The changes may not take place till the completion of Bihar polls. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is a batch mate of Narasimhan and both joined Intelligence Bureau together. According to reports, Ajit Doval is looking after interests of Narasimhan in Delhi.
Telugu Desam Party accused the Governor of favouring Telangana and urged Centre to replace him. In the past, Telangana protagonists demanded Centre to sack the Governor as he opined that Telangana state would increase the influence of Maoists.
