YSR left indelible mark on people's heart, says Telangana CM
Hyderabad, Sep 2 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday paid tribute to former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR), describing him as a great leader who left an indelible mark on the hearts of the people through his development and welfare initiatives.

CM Revanth Reddy garlanded YSR's portrait at his official residence in Delhi on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he noted that YSR left an enduring legacy in governance through development projects such as irrigation schemes and the Outer Ring Road and welfare programs like loan waivers, fee reimbursement, and Arogyasri.

Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy and MPs Dr Mallu Ravi, Suresh Shetkar, Porika Balram Naik, and M. Anil Kumar Yadav, among others, were present on the occasion.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka paid heartfelt tributes to YSR, describing him as the champion of the poor and the architect of welfare schemes.

In his message on ‘X’, the Deputy CM said that YSR’s Padayatra that wiped away the tears of farmers, and his welfare governance, will always serve as a guiding light for “our people's government.”

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud said that YSR dedicated his life and even his last breath to the welfare of the people.

“I pay my heartfelt tributes to the beloved leader of the poor. His unwavering commitment to farmers, women, the underprivileged and the weaker sections remains an enduring legacy. YSR Garu will always live on in the hearts of the people,” said the state Congress chief.

Telangana ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, V. Sridhar, Adluri Lakshman Kumar, along with key leaders of the Congress Party, garlanded the YSR statue at Panjagutta in Hyderabad and paid rich tributes to him.

Ponnam Prabhakar said the services rendered by YSR for the welfare of the poor, farmers, women, and students will never be forgotten.

The minister said that YSR was a great leader who regarded the people's hardships as his own and brought light into their lives. He said the path of public service shown by YSR remains a constant source of inspiration for him.
