Will strongly protest if govt invokes Land Act: YSRCP

Hyderabad, Aug 20: YSRCP will strongly protest if government invokes Land Acquisition Act to acquire land from the farmers in the capital region, said YSRCP leader and Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. Speaking to the media here today, Ramakrishna Reddy questioned the need to invoke Land Acquisition Act as government had already acquired 33.400 acres land for the capital city. He alleged that government submitted false affidavit before the National Green Tribunal. He questioned how the government would acquire land without identifying 'Grama Kantam' (Village Habitation). Ramakrishna Reddy said that the party would work with all like-minded and pro-farmer parties.
