Rs 300 cr to NIT Tadepalligudem: Smriti Irani

Hyderabad, August 20: AP Chief Minister desires to transform the State as educational hub, Central Minister Smriti Irani said. Speaking at the inauguration of NIT at Tadepalligudem today, she said that she had laid foundation stones for four educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh State. The centre would be spending Rs 700 crore for IIT Tirupati, Rs 300 crore for NIT Tadepalligudem and Rs 680 crore for IIM Visakhapatnam. Steps will be taken to provide separate toilets for boys and girls in educational institutions, the Minister assured.
