Facebook trumps Google as source for news
New York, Aug 20: Social networking website Facebook is bringing more traffic to news websites when compared to Google, according to a study conducted by web analytics firm Parse.ly.
While Facebook accounted to 43 per cent of the traffic to news websites from May to July 2015, Google accounted for 38 per cent of internet traffic in the same period.
According to a report, links shared in Facebook and Twitter are becoming the main source of news for internet users.
Facebook trumped Google in web traffic in October but the margin is higher now.
