Bonus marks to students if parents cast vote

Bengaluru, Aug 19: Some Private schools managements in Bengaluru have decided to give two bonus marks to students if their parents exercise vote in upcoming Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) civic polls. The initiative was launched to create awareness about voting among people. The parents should show the ink-stained fingers to the schools staff. The schools will set up special counters on August 22 and the parents should sign a declaration that they had exercised vote in the polls and should drop it in boxes. Exciting prizes will be presented to the lucky winners. It may be noted that educated youth are staying away from polls when compared others sections in the society.
