YSRCP leaders under house arrest

Kadapa, Aug 19: YSRCP leaders were placed under house-arrest in Kadapa as a precautionary measure in view of the bandh called by the party today. It may be noted the party called for Kadapa town bandh today to protest against the suicidal death of two girl students in Narayana College here. Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu, the party senior leader Amjad Basha and Left parties leaders were put under house arrest. Police arrested several YSRCP leaders in the city and shifted them to various police stations. Various student unions and Left parties pledged support to the bandh. According to reports, the bandh was partial.
