Toll-free numbers for women protection: Peethala Sujatha

Hyderabad, Aug 13: Women and Child Welfare Minister Peethala Sujatha has said that government would set up toll-free numbers in Vijayawada, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam for protection of women. Speaking to the media here, Peethala Sujatha said that government would make some changes to 'Bangaru Talli' scheme and rename it as 'Maa Inti Maha Lakshmi'. She said that Anganwadi centres would be developed on the lines of corporate organisations. The Minister exuded confidence that Centre would extend special status to the state. It may be noted that 'Bangaru Talli' scheme is intended to provide financial aid to girl child.
